چکیده
Abstract Bimetallic nanostructures are interesting materials for many applications ranging from plasmonics to catalysis. However, synthesizing bimetallic nanorods with good control over composition, morphology and maintaining an anisotropic shape is challenging. Here, we have shown a reproducible approach the synthesize core-shell within stabilizing mesoporous silica shell Au core Pd metal excellent their properties. Specifically, demonstrate that thickness of (rough/smooth) can be precisely tuned studied plasmonic properties resulting in detail. Our naturally extended different or more than two metals leading rod-shaped particles highly tunable interest use optical catalytic applications.

Inspired by the concept of living polymerization reaction, we are able to produce silver-gold-silver nanowires with a precise control over their total length and plasmonic properties by establishing a constant silver deposition rate on the tips of penta-twinned gold nanorods used as seed cores. Consequently, the length of the wires increases linearly in time. Starting with ∼210 nm × 32 nm gold ...
متن کاملOxygen Activation and Reaction on Pd−Au Bimetallic Surfaces
Pd−Au bimetallic catalysts have shown promising performance for a number of oxidative reactions. The present study utilizes reactive molecular beam scattering (RMBS), reflection−absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS), temperatureprogrammed desorption (TPD), and density functional theory (DFT) techniques in an attempt to enhance the fundamental understanding of oxygen activation and reaction w...

In this article we study the plasmonic behavior of some stable, highly biocompatible bimetallic metal-dielectric-metal (MDM) and double concentric nanoshell (DCN) structures. By simply switching the material of the inner structure from Au to Ag, the intensity of their surface plasmon resonance could be increased in the optical transparency region of the human tissues up to 20 and 60 percent for...
متن کاملHydrogen Adsorption and Absorption with Pd−Au Bimetallic Surfaces
Pd−Au bimetallic catalysts have shown promising performance in numerous reactions that involve hydrogen. Fundamental studies of hydrogen interactions with Pd−Au surfaces could provide useful insights into the reaction mechanisms over Pd−Au catalysts, which may, in turn, guide future catalyst design. In this study, the interactions of hydrogen (i.e., adsorption, absorption, diffusion, and desorp...
